Welcome to the Delta Revisited. I have recently revised the website to include, a photo gallery, samples of Delta music, landmarks, landscapes, and occasionally some reflections and memories of growing up in Southeast Arkansas. I have revised the original goal of reliving the memories of growing up in Chicot County in the 1950s and 1960s to include the Delta Landscapes. No doubt those were great years, great memories, and great friendships. But after two years of observing the social media, I realized, the 3700+ photos I took on my 2700 bike miles across the Delta told a much more inspiring story than I could ever relate in words.
So, I hope you enjoy the new revised Delta Revisited: The Photo Journal. I am already planning the 2012 sequel. Its going to be as much fun as the original, and it is going to be totally different (more on that later). Enjoy The Delta Revisited Photo Journal: Get Your Motor Running, Head Out on the Highway in 2012 (thats the hint).
By the way, we have picked up on some great original Delta Music. Check that out too.
Beautiful Lake Chicot provides the perfect landscape backdrop for The Delta Revisited. The largest oxbow lake in North America, Lake Chicot has been restored to its original beauty. Relive the memories of growing up around Lake Chicot in the 1950s and 1960s and enjoy the ride as we go home again on The Delta Revisited Bike Tour.
